Responsibilities of an Akashic Record Reader

In working with the Akashic Records, each Reader makes several agreements or commitments which grant access to the Akashic Records including these three:

  • I will open the records of another person only when directly asked to do so by that person.
  • I will never offer to open the Akashic Records for anyone.
  • I will never disclose the content of an Akashic Record reading to a third party without permission.

These agreements might seem somewhat simple and perhaps even overly restrictive. However, these three agreements uphold the integrity of the process of accessing the Akashic Records, providing a structure of surprising depth and powerful opportunity. They also define what can and can not be done as a Reader in the Akashic Records.

The Akashic Records are not about predictive answers and absolute truth. Instead the Akashic Records are about YOU, your intention, and what you want in your life. A reading of the Records is provided as a way to help you find your truth and make your own choices. In transmitting the energy of your Akashic Record to you, it is absolutely not the place of the Reader to insert personal opinions and judgments. The Reader?s place is to be as clear as possible so that you can hear options and make your choices yourself. If a Reader offers to open your records, you are deprived of your opportunity for choice and the power of self-responsibility. The way to indicate your choice is first by asking for the Reading and then through the questions you ask and the comments you have about your experience. And opening the Records only when asked directly keeps the Reader in integrity both with self and with the Akashic Records. Only through integrity and clear intention is access to the Akashic Records possible.

When you ask for your Akashic Record be opened for you, what comes forward is for you and you alone. What you decide to do with the content is your business, not the Reader?s. The fact you even had a reading is for you to disclose, not the Reader, not the School. Because of this, confidentiality is an extremely serious matter, perhaps held more strictly than other practitioners.

In fact, these three commitments shape the entire experience working in the Akashic Records. Every interaction is shaped within these agreements with each and every prospective or current client. The way gift certificates are managed must not contravene the agreements. The acknowledgement of referrals or return of phone calls must not interfere. The way readings and workshops are conducted is directly influenced by the increasingly clearer understanding of this sacred covenant.

Spiritual Guidance

The Akashic Records exist on the energy continuum of potential and form. The realm of potential is of the divine, of the highest, clearest resonance, and is the origin of your soul. When the Reader maintains these agreements with the Akashic Records, access into the Records is ensured within the realm of potential where the infinite possibilities of the universe are available to both you and your Reader.

Akashic Record Readings are offered as spiritual guidance for your spiritual journey. By the word spiritual, we acknowledge the transcendent, sacred level of our interaction with self and with other. As guidance, the intention of the Reader is to serve both as signpost and as witness to your process. An Akashic Record Reader is neither therapist nor counselor. Nor is the Reader a healer because healing is not something done to you. Healing is a dynamic process you choose for yourself, when you know you are ready. The Reader transmits the knowing, supports the safe and sacred space, and offers the attention you need to feel comfortable engaging in your process however it feels best to you, allowing healing to come however it may come.

Practically, this means that engaging with an Akashic Record Reader within the Akashic Records School is probably not what you might expect. One of the biggest differences is that your Reader will respond when asked and not before. And when asked, the response comes in the moment of the asking. This means that each person receives an individual response within each situation as called in the moment and not necessarily as others have received.

Yet, this doesn?t mean that the Reader is vague: the Reader?s job is to be as clear as possible. So if clarity is missing, please ask. If something hasn?t been explained that you want to know about, please communicate. If it?s not mentioned somewhere then either there is a good reason for not mentioning it or the question has never been asked. Whatever the case, open the dialogue, allow the Reader an opportunity to respond, to witness your process of finding clarity. All that is asked is that you be open to considering your assumptions and join in this dance, this amazing, exciting journey into the infinite potential of our lives.
