Best Affirmations for Self Acceptance

Drawing from my experience and my writing, here are four best affirmations for self acceptance.

On Self Acceptance

To accept means to feel in fullness my soul’s expression in this moment through my body, mind and heart.

To accept self is not to ignore the warts, but to see them as an opportunity to learn and grow without denigrating self-judgment.

Self-acceptance asks me to receive all of me, identifying where there is resistance and where I have opportunities to evolve and transcend limitation and mistrust.

Affirmation #1:

Affirmation #1 for Self-Acceptance

I accept my past as is.

Identify the past as completed, beyond influence, as “water under the bridge.”

Holding on to the past keeps my head turned backwards, away from this moment.

In this moment is where I have the power to make my life different, to see the true me in this moment.

No point in trying to change the past.

It is what it is.

My river has moved on, bringing me to this powerful moment now where I freely acknowledge:

I accept my past as is.

Affirmation #2:

Affirmation #2

Because my past does not predict my future,

I now claim the power of my personal truth.

Life moving forward is in the choices I make now, rather than the limits within actions and choices of the past.

Challenging, frustrating, like an unconquerable mountain, it is so easy to give in to the belief that I can’t change, be different, or make other choices.

But this is a belief and ALL belief is adaptable.

Belief is not carved in stone for eternity.

Belief shifts.

Belief ascends the mountain through the belief that I can shift belief.

In this new choice, in this new belief in personal power, the past is unhooked from the future.

In me, in this moment, I have choice, I can release the past and step forward as a new me.

From the bottom of my heart, I affirm:

Because my past does not predict my future,

I now claim the power of my personal truth.

Affirmation #3:

Affirmation #3

I am amazing just as I am.

Amazement: overwhelming wonder.

There is so much in the world which is wonderful, astonishing, miraculous.

The pattern of the veins on a leaf, the number of grains of sand on the beach, the tiny toes and fingers of a new-born, sunrise seen from a mountain top, the sky’s colors at sunset.

What do I find amazing about my world?

What fills me with wonder?

What is miraculous in this moment?

I breathe this all in. I feel the wonder and the amazement within me.

I experience my wonder, the amazement of me – unique in all eternity, never before, never again – me!

Amazing me!

Today, I acknowledge joyfully:

I am amazing just as I am.

Affirmation #4:

Affirmation #4 for Self-Acceptance

I always have choice for me and my life.

Maybe not what I wanted or expected.

Might be challenging, frustrating or both.

Might make me wish that yesterday was done differently.

But, however life shows in this moment, I have choice.

And not to choose, to give up, to get mad, to back down?

Well, that’s all choice as well.

In this moment, now, I always can choose.

In all nows is my choice.

Often choice in this moment is HOW I choose to act rather than WHAT I choose.

The What is where the unexpected appears, the How is where my choice in this moment resides.

I acknowledge:

I always have choice for me and my life.
