Why Did I Write This Book?

In my experience as a writer, sometimes a book is born from the urge to share information and experience, and sometimes from the need to reflect and process. With this book, both are true.

The first draft was a disaster. All the material from more than fifteen years of workshops all dumped together. My editor very kindly said, “Try again, Cheryl, please!”

Back to the drawing board and back to reflecting on the process of opening my Akashic Records and on the process of helping thousands of students learn to open their Akashic Records.

In the reflection, I saw the arc that I needed to weave into the narrative: trust. The soul’s spiritual practice of the Akashic Records brings you to your inner experience of trust. Like a crucible of truth, continued practice in the Akashic Records gently burns away whatever stands in the way of embracing self-trust.

The ability to trust self leads to the willingness to believe in self-truth, to believe that you can get to trust and truth for yourself from within the depth of who you are body, mind, heart, and soul.

I wrote this book to support your journey with self-trust and self-truth. A journey of opening, learning, and reflecting. A journey of choice, intention, and integrity.

Many years ago, I said yes, let me figure out self-trust and self-truth. Not that I have got it all figure out now. This is a journey that is not about the destination. This is a journey in each moment about claiming the best of me in this moment, trusting my awareness of my truth.

The question before you in deciding whether to begin this journey is not am I capable, do I have the skills?

Instead, the question is this: Do I want to learn to trust myself at the deepest levels?
