In Akashic Records research you are the one driving the questions. There several different questions for your exploration and the following is a short explanation about each. These are not asked within a fixed sequence. Instead you ask one and follow your response to move among them. What you receive to one can send you back to another.
The Essential Question
Your primary question — the one that drives your whole exploration. A question born from your why. To bring intention and clarity to whatever you want to explore.
Your essential question is your focal point. Within Akashic Records research, everything you explore orbits around this one question, even the supporting questions. Clarity with this question is what lets you rein yourself in when your work begins to scatter: that's me wandering off; let me come back to what I actually came for.
Your essential question is allowed to change. As you explore, your essential question often shifts, and when it does, that is usually a sign you are learning — not a sign you began wrong.
