Soul's Journey

The soul is a unique expression of potential, and the journey is that expression experiencing the continuum for the joy of the motion.

The word journey comes to us through roads and maps, through the space between where you started and where you're trying to get to.

In this way, the soul's journey lands in the ear as a trip the soul is taking — somewhere it left, somewhere it's headed, ground it has to cover before it arrives.

And soul arrives sounding like the thing making the trip: a something you carry, a substance tucked inside you, the part of you that might one day be weighed or measured or finally understood.

But, here's a different perspective. The soul's journey isn't distance toward an arrival, and the soul isn't a thing you hold.

Your journey is your soul. The soul is a unique expression of potential, and the journey is that expression experiencing the continuum — undergoing it, moving through it, for the joy of the motion. Not a trip toward somewhere better. The soul is the experience itself.

The static words point toward a destination. The dynamic motion runs the other way — not out toward an arrival, but into experience, which was always already happening in you.

And underneath this is the awareness that there's nowhere to get to. You're already on the journey, because you already are the journey. It only feels like something to reach until your realize.
