A Loom of Words

Ten looms going at once. Words weaving.

Unbound, following the connecting threads, building what needs building when.

This Moment Now

I hope your summer is going well!

I've been having a good time re-acquainting myself with what summer in Oregon is all about. That is to say that it hasn't been the humidity of Oklahoma or of Vermont. And whatever heat there has been, the comparison especially to Oklahoma has made it super enjoyable.

The last time I wrote, I used a greenhouse analogy. In this moment, I'm going to use a loom. In fact, back in the day, I spent a lot of time weaving.

Now, instead of cotton and wool and acrylic, I am using words to build tapestry. I feel like I have nine or ten looms around me and I weave a bit here and then weave a bit there. Not because I am creating lots of unfinished projects to trip over in the fall. Rather it's that there are connecting threads between it all and I am following the connections to build what needs building when.

I am also really leaning in to what makes me happy, what feels like truth, what feels like this moment is requesting. And it's not that I haven't been doing this. It's that up until about a year ago, I lived with a certain self-restraint that said ten looms going at once is not smart, productive, or desirable. Productivity comes from focus I have always been told. Clarity comes from clear intention.

And not that I think that this is entirely wrong. It's that if you only have one type of thread to weave – then focus. But for me, my threads are varied, multi-dimensional, and bursting with energy that isn't easily narrowed. Clarity comes in the moment of expression not in the outlining of the next moment.

And so I weave and the tapestries grow and the color dances and I don't think I have been this happy in forever. For I am unbound. No longer feeling the need for restraint. It's a magical feeling. And my intention is simple: keep weaving.

Newest Book

Embracing Ambiguity is available. This is a short, focused work meant to explore a specific aspect of Soul Emergence Dynamics.

A fitting emergence from the weaving – all about letting go of the need to be right. A way of understanding ambiguity as a field for personal growth.

For active members and students, follow the link and down load the free PDF from the bottom of the page.

A quick note about formats. I have put all of my books back in Kindle Unlimited for a whole trunk load of reasons. Which means that the ebook is only available through Amazon. And I am also putting all of my books into Audible using a digital narrator with a smooth, silky masculine voice as opposite to me as possible. (Note: I must confess it's a rather southern voice, draws out vowels the way I do after a couple of margaritas in a cowboy bar. So maybe not all that different. Like I'm pretty sure "he" doesn't make a difference between ten and tin like I don't.) But this is in anticipation of providing my books through more audio venues in my voice. And all about my ongoing bramble through the thorns of publishing in the dominance of algorithms and the overlording masters of trad pub and Amazon. Gloria Gaynor, please allow me in. I will survive!

Necessary Translation

I have now finished my program transitions and re-makes and new-naming. So let me do a bit of translation so you can feel comfortable with the newly woven.

A year ago there was Spiritual Deep Dive. This is now Edge of Becoming. And all masterclasses are folded into the Edge. Plus, Akashic Records learning is an optional add-in.

Also a year ago there was Akashic Records Intensive. This is now Akashic Records Studies and is an add-on option for Edge of Becoming. So Akashic Records are optional.

Akashic Records masterclasses are on Tuesday. Edge of Becoming masterclasses are on Wednesday.

Edge of Becoming masterclasses include one class a month where I open the Akashic Records and respond to questions. The other two classes we take a spiritual concept, an everyday word, or a Soul Emergence Dynamics pillar and look into the deep, subtle layers and the threshold of being and becoming. Last class was the word adventure. Next class I'm not sure until something bubbles up and makes itself known.

Akashic Records masterclasses are divided into two. Practicum is twice a month and is where – can you guess? – we practice opening the Akashic Records for self, for people, and for non-human energy. Research is the other masterclass right now and is also twice a month.

So this is seven 2-hour classes, either on Tuesday or Wednesday, at 9am Pacific.

And if you can't come to class, then the Member Library has got you covered with two archives - one for Edge of Becoming = Masterclass Archive. And the other is Akashic Records Archive for – you guessed it! – Akashic Records Masterclasses. Remember: you do need to be logged in to get full access to either archive. And when something is ready, you get an email to let you know.

And let me say this: this is some really good stuff in these classes. Joining the Edge of Becoming gets you access to the recording and transcript plus an article I create based on the material. Plus you are automatically receiving Notes (see below) where even more shows up. Which means you can join in the studies from anywhere at any time of the day – you don't have to be live in class to participate.

I've worked out the kinks and the knots and the wyrd words and I think we are good to go.

Newsletters

Finding the Edge of Becoming helped me weave my rhythm to begin the first paid newsletter that I think is exactly me. This is another of the looms: Notes from the Edge. It's where I am going to put my current work, the crazy explorations, and the edgy bits. Kinda like looking over my shoulder as I write. Not in a creepy way. More in I'm-excited-for-the-share way. At least two long-form articles a month. The Member Library holds past issues.

If you are currently enrolled, Notes from the Edge is included in your program.

If you are not currently enrolled, I'm happy to take you back at whatever level you were at. Or you can subscribed directly to Notes. Or you can join Edge of Becoming.

Up and Coming

I have two projects moving from the loom very shortly. The first is To Do Your Work: Releasing the Twelve Pressure Points that Keep You Small.

Some of you might remember this title. It's a book that I worked on rather intensely for a couple of years and was getting ready to publish when I decided I would publish after moving. I am glad I waited. I have woven a bit more through it based on some of the bad bits from the last couple of year. The power dynamics of family dynamics is incredibly informative.

The next project is a three-book coffee table set. These came out of left field, unexpectedly, and are my way of seriously and humorously dealing with someone trying to tell me my experience was wrong. Thus, the birth of Question the F*cking Assumption: Dealing with the Overlording of Authority and Certainty which has turned into more of a how-com than a how-to.

And this loom is also bringing forward the Good Girl's Field Guide to Bullshit Behavior complete with habitat, overlording language, and stick figures demoing said behaviors. And if that weren't enough, may I introduce The Auntie Oracle – a deck of rebellious questions that your black-sheep-of-the-family aunt whispered in your ears during your teens and twenties and thirties and halfway through your forties when you finally got the point of the questions. Each book will be black and white and red all over.

To go along with this rebel call, I have a new, free email course: I Question Authority. Please join if only to help me make sure it's all working! So come to assist and then stay for the awesome bits!

When I look at the looms around me, I see fractals. Energy bursts with organizing patterns. This makes me think of Akasha and Thoth and all the sacred scribes with their pens ablaze and their hearts humming with goodness. And I feel grateful that I didn't hold back in December and I hit the road on a freezing day. The volcano began its eruption then even though it wasn't visible on that blizzardy day.

I can feel the heat now and I am immensely thankful that I am here. Keep on looming!

In Joy!
Cheryl
